The Lorette Scorpions are the Provincial AAA Junior Varsity Girls Basketball champions.

The Scorpions defeated the Swan Valley Tigers 50-30 in the championship game Saturday at John Taylor Collegiate in Winnipeg.

Lorette beat the Westgate Wings 54-33 in the quarterfinals and downed the R.D. Parker Trojans of Thompson 48-32 in the semifinals.

Scorpions forward Janelle Chomini was chosen the MVP of the provincials while Lorette post Hannah Berg was named to the All-Star team.
