The Eastman AAA Female Selects split a pair of games over the weekend, defeating Central Plains on the road but falling to Yellowhead at home.

Road Warriors

The Selects travelled to Portage on Saturday to take on Central Plains.  Home ice would have no advantage today.

From the drop of the puck, the Selects came out flying and it showed on the scoreboard.

Liza Vigier got things started at 12:37, assisted by Maddy DesRosiers and Kylie Lesuk.

The selects continued to press, Liza Vigier notching her second at 8:54 of the first, unassisted.  End of First 2-0.

The selects started the second the same way as the first,  Sydney Stotski skating far side to tuck in the goal, assisted by Mackenzie Borgfjord.  End of Second  3-0.

Things continued to go the selects way, Camille Enns let a bullet go from the point, fed from Jenna McLennan and Liza Vigier.  Final score 4-0.  Selects controlled the play from start to finish.  Finals shots 37 – 25,  Emma Plett had another strong game.

 Home Not So Sweet Home

The girls returned home for a game on Sunday but it didn't go their way in an eventual loss.

The Selects were outplayed and outshot.  Lost 5-1.  Kylie Lesuk had the lone goal in the first period, unassisted.
