The Southeast Thistles Rugby Club slipped to 0-2 on the season as penalties came back to haunt the team as they fell 19-15 against the Assassins.

The Thistles battled hard and it payed off in winning scrums, forcing the opposition to get the ball quickly, or risk losing possession. The forwards came to play and made over 100 tackles, while missing less then 10%

After a tight back and forth game, 2 try's (totalling 10 points) were recalled due to penalties. That would be the difference in the game.

Lots of fans came out to support and Caleb Fenton hopes that it opened the door for some future players. "If we could get 5 more, just 5 more players, we would be a very strong team. We get gassed in the second half, while the opposing teams we face have fresh legs."

Fenton also adds the club will offer insurance. "We will offer a $35 2 weeks insurance policy for interested parties that don't yet want to commit to the full club and insurance which are $272.54"
