The Southeast Thistles exploded in the second half and crushed the Wasps 2nd Division team 52-10 on Wednesday night.

It was another good turn out as over three dozen fans watched a nail biter of a first half. Player coach Caleb Fenton knew the effort was there and they would be rewarded eventually. "I told the boys I was proud of them, making every effort to continue to play, contesting rucks and creating turnovers. I told them I don't see 'stars' but a team, a brotherhood of players working together."

At the half, trailing 10-7, Fenton and the Thistles made some minor changes and had a message for the group. "You have a job, so do your job." Said Fenton.

It worked.

In the second half, the Thistles came out energized and carried the play for long stretches. 3 Try's (15 points) in 5 minutes gave the Thistles the lead and they didn't look back. They held the Wasps outside the 22 yard line as they didn't get a sniff of any offence.

The final was a blowout 52-10 and the Thistles will look to continue the momentum Thursday June 29th at home. Game time is 7:15pm at AD Penner Park.
