A series of similar thefts across southeastern Manitoba have Steinbach RCMP suspicious as to whether or not they are being perpetrated by the same person or group.

Police indicate that a trailer holding a Bobcat, three buckets, and two forks was stolen from a La Broquerie residence at around 1:00 AM Monday morning. Meanwhile, at around 4:00 AM that same morning, another trailer full of birdseed was taken from Burnell’s Food Plus in Richer.

Oddly enough, all stolen equipment was later found in the exact same location on Monday afternoon. The various items have since been returned to their owners.

In addition to these thefts, a truck was also stolen from a different home in La Broquerie early this morning. It has not yet been located.

RCMP believe these incidents could be related, though they are still looking for possible suspects to these crimes.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is asked to contact Steinbach RCMP or CrimeStoppers.
