RCMP report an attempted ATM theft in Niverville early Monday morning. They got the alarm at 3:15 a.m. for the Shell gas station. Police say the suspects used a stolen vehicle to drive through the front of the building to gain access and tried to steal the ATM machine. They were not successful. They fled and then dumped the vehicle a short distance away after it had a flat tire. RCMP say they brought in a police dog from Selkirk but could not locate the suspects. They add the crime was carried out in the same way as ATM thefts in Landmark September 19th and in New Bothwell last week Thursday.
