Following last week's flag presentation in Ste. Anne, the Larocque and Bram families were able to present the flags to their daughters Jocelyne and Bailey in Pyeongchang.

Last Wednesday, the community of Ste. Anne presented two large Canadian flags, signed by hundreds of people from the area, to the families to show support for their two local Olympians. Bailey's father Bill Bram says it was a special moment when they were able to present Bailey with her flag.

"You know what, she's got it hanging in her room so she's excited and she knows everybody is behind her. I think it's so much fun for her and everything is so new and exciting."

The two families made the trip to South Korea last weekend just in time to catch the first women's hockey game. He says it's been an unbelievable experience so far, being at the Olympics, and adds the atmosphere is not like anything he's seen before.

"It's a dream come true, not just for her, for us too. I've seen all the hard work that she's done to get here. All the people around, all the parents, just the whole atmosphere, you can't describe it. It's exciting, I'm glad I came because it's once in a lifetime and just to see her, what she's accomplished it's special."

Bram adds aside from being at the arena, they've been spending a lot of time at the Canada House which is a place for all Canadian athletes, their parents, and supporters to gather and watch all the Olympic events on a big screen. He explains that part has been a really cool experience.

"We were sitting with the speed skaters that won on Tuesday and that was pretty neat. All the parents and all the athletes come back, you know Jennifer Jones was here, Kaitlyn Lawes after they won so you get to see all these Olympians up close, it's pretty neat."
