The parking lot at Steinbach City Hall will soon be back to normal. A temporary building was erected there last year to accommodate the expansion of city hall.

Paul Penner, Operations Manager for the City of Steinbach, says staff who were displaced by the ten-month project are scheduled to move back in this coming Friday. He outlines which departments will be in the 3,500 square foot addition.

"The addition is a new area for our Building Inspection and Engineering staff. And, we've added some meeting rooms to it."

The $1.5 million project started last August. Penner says there were a few minor hiccups but are generally pleased with the way it came together. As for the temporary building in the parking lot.

"We're expecting that it will be moved during the week of June 5th."
