A couple of cars were stolen in Niverville over the weekend.

RCMP say a white, 2009 Chevy Impala with license plate ECE 873, was reported stolen off a driveway on 1st Street South just after 4:00 pm on June 7th.

According to RCMP, the theft occurred after the owner briefly left their keys in the ignition unattended.

Neighbours are saying they saw two people attempting to enter vehicles up and down the street that day.

Additionally, a red, 2006 Pontiac G6 with license plate GZG 242, was taken from a residence on Tweed Lane. The theft was reported Monday around noon, however, RCMP believe the car was taken on June 7th sometime in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, other residents are posting to social media that their vehicles were broken into and items were taken.

Neither vehicle has been recovered at this time and those with information are asked to call Crime Stoppers or the St Pierre RCMP.
