Police say the man involved in the single vehicle collision near St.Adolphe Wednesday night has died.

St.Pierre RCMP say an officer on patrol came across a pickup truck in the ditch at the intersection of Highway #75 and Provincial Road 210 at St.Adolphe. The driver had been ejected and was lying unconscious on the roadway. The officer administered CPR while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.

RCMP say the 26-year-old male, from Ste.Agathe was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police informed us Monday morning, the man has now died.

Investigation showed the driver had attempted to turn east onto PR 210 but was travelling too fast, lost control and rolled into the ditch. Investigators say he was not wearing a seatbelt and add it is not known whether alcohol was a factor.
