The town of Ste. Anne has recently implemented 2 curbside pickup programs.

They had their first free pickup weekend in September of this year, where residents could put gently used items marked free at the curb for other residents to pick up.

This was followed by a bulk pickup the next weekend where large items over 75 pounds could be put at the curb for the town to pick up and haul away. Not including tires or other hazardous items.

Operations Manager Marc Darker said, “It was a pretty successful event. Whatever was left from the free giveaway weekend, got picked up the following weekend with our bulk item pickup weekend. In the spring and fall we'll pick up the items for our residents that don't normally get picked up with regular garbage, like appliances, furniture, t.v.'s and stuff that can be recycled.”

The free pickup weekend will happen again next September and the bulk pickup weekend will be in May and September of next year.
