The Hanover School Board of Trustees met in Winnipeg this past weekend to discuss their vision for the coming year.

“This annual board planning meeting is always a highlight,” comments Board Chair Ron Falk, “it gives the board time to talk about the things we normally don’t have time to discuss at length during the year.”

Falk indicates that a chief purpose of these meetings is to bring in managers from the various divisional departments so they can discuss and clarify their goals with the group.

According to Falk, much of this discourse centered around the division’s top priorities including plans for the new Niverville Highschool and the direction of the Deeper Learning Program.

“With this planning session being shortly after the election, quite a bit of time is spent bringing the new trustees up to speed and reinforcing the direction that we are going," says Falk who believes the team dynamics are already strong and anticipates another good year.
