Motorists who travel down Highway 15 will notice some road construction over the next year.

This morning the province announced the reconstruction of Highway 15 from Provincial Road 206 near Dugald, east to the Brokenhead River.

“This is a heavily traveled area serving several growing communities, and we want to ensure a safe and smooth ride,” says Infrastructure Minister Ron Schuler.

He says work will consist of resurfacing the entire 34 km with fully paved shoulders from Dugald to Anola at PTH 12 then shoulders will be partially paved for the remainder of the stretch east to the Brokenhead River. Weather permitting, Schuler adds construction is scheduled to be completed in fall of 2019.

“As construction season ramps up for the spring and summer, we remind all motorists to be careful around work areas and slow down”
