After being held in Blumenort the past three years, the tournament was held in Kleefeld this year.

The 4th annual Lumberzone Outdoor Classic had a new location this year.

The outdoor hockey tournament was held in Blumenort for the past three years, but this year took place in Kleefeld.  As a result, any money collected from canteen sales was given to the Kleefeld Rec Association.  Rec Association President Nicole Rempel says although the tournament was held for fun and any money they received was a bonus, they do have a need for funding.

"Last year we started our baseball program up for the first time since 1998," she describes.  "We're really excited because we can do it again this year, we were able to get some money in and we could put it towards that.  Now we're talking about how we can improve more programs and do something in fall, because everything we do is in spring and early summer."

Rempel adds the tournament does a great job of completing its primary goal - bringing people of all ages together.
