Several Manitoba Hydro offices in southeastern Manitoba are being closed as part of a cost-saving initiative by the utility.

Hydro offices in Beausejour, Powerview and Falcon Lake will be shut down May 19th.

There are also nine office closures in other parts of the province including Fisher Branch, Gimli, Boissevain, Pilot Mound, Glenboro, Winnipegosis, Ste. Rose, Grandview and McCreary.

Manitoba Hydro says about 20 employees will be re-assigned to other centres.

It says the move will save millions of dollars.
