Rebecca Fentum-JonesA woman who was seriously injured in a horse riding accident near St. Malo two months ago is recovering much more quickly than doctors expected.

22-year-old Rebecca Fentum-Jones was thrown from her horse June 17th while crossing a paved road and hit her head on the asphalt.

Now, two months later, her family says she has awoken from a coma, is talking in a whisper and is able to walk with the assistance of a walker. They note the doctors had warned them she could remain comatose for six months. They add Fentum-Jones is also seeing improvements every day in her short-term memory. Specialists tell them it is too soon to know the full extent of her head injuries and whether she will fully recover. But the family says she is exceeding everyone's expectations pretty dramatically.
