Portions of Tetrault and Gueret Roads in the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie will be getting an upgrade this summer.

Reeve Lewis Weiss says a portion of Tetrault Road will have materials reclaimed, reshaped, and then two inches of asphalt laid on top, while Gueret Road will be seal coated.

"With a smaller budget, unfortunately, we can't do ten miles a year, so we have to stick with what we can do. We're very thankful that the federal government gives money, and sometimes we get from the province as well, and we definitely appreciate those grants and use them accordingly."

Maple Leaf will be rehabilitating Tetrault Road at a cost of $194,500 while Man Can will do the work to seal coat Gueret for $34,650. Money from the Gas Tax Reserve will be put towards the project, $25,900 for Gueret Road and $97,250 for Tetrault Road. Meanwhile, an application has been submitted to the Municipal Road and Bridge Program in the remaining amount of $106,000.

Weiss adds they will not be working on Loewen Boulevard this year because no agreement was made with either the RM of Ste. Anne or RM Hanover, noting it's a shared municipal road.

He says the second mile of Carriere Road south of Highway 52 is also being looked at to rebuild and possibly pave in the future.
