A woman from Niverville recently started a Little Free Library, something she hopes will bring her neighborhood closer together.

Kaite Desrosiers mentions she has always loved the idea of owning and operating a small library like this and feels it is a good way of getting kids reading and simply bringing joy to people in general.

“In a place like Niverville we don’t have our own public library, says Desrosiers, “so I think this is filling something that people need.”

In Desrosier's library anybody can come by in any season of the year and take or leave a book: "It's all about spreading books around," she says.

Desrosiers claims she has been collecting and refurbishing books for the past couple of years with this dream in mind, adding it is amazing to finally see that her efforts have already impacted the community.

“Comments from my neighbors saying ‘we really love this!’ have made it all worth so much.” Desrosier notes, “and I’m going to run [this library] as long as I possibly can.”
