For one farmer near Zhoda, morning chores didn't quite go according to plan.

Around 9:10 am, the La Broquerie Fire Department was called to A tractor fire 12 miles south of La Broquerie and about two miles east just north of Zhoda. Deputy Fire Chief JC Normandeau says workers were feeding the cows when all of a sudden they smelled smoke coming from the tractor. He adds they unhooked the attachments and pulled the tractor away to safety then tried to put the fire out themselves but were unsuccessful and called 911.

"The tractor was burning in the back property so we really didn't have access with the big trucks but we responded with our chase truck and then we made that everything was okay and no property in danger. By the time we got there, the tractor was basically almost burnt."

Normandeau adds there were no injuries.
