A school bus was rear-ended while picking up students Friday morning on Highway 52, just west of the Kleefeld turn-off.

Kleefeld district fire chief John Schroeder says a pick-up truck struck the school bus that had stopped to pick up students at a residence along Highway 52.

"All the children are okay. The driver said it felt like a little bump, so it wasn't a big impact on the bus. A little bumper damage to the bus, that's it."

Schroeder adds the driver of the pick-up was complaining of chest pains and was transported to the hospital. He notes another bus arrived to load the students on to and bring to school.

The scene was cleared up quickly with minimal traffic disruption. The RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
