RCMP are reporting the young boy involved in the collision May 31st north of Kleefeld has died from his injuries.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 5:40 pm at the intersection of Highway 52 and Provincial Road 216.

Investigators say a 26-year-old-female from St. Malo was attempting a left hand turn onto PR 216 when she collided with an eastbound vehicle being driven by a 23-year-old female.

The 26-year-old female was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Her 6-year-old son, a passenger in the vehicle, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Yesterday, he died from his injuries.

The 23-year-old female was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

RCMP continue to investigate.
