A snowmobile stolen last week in Altona has been found near Steinbach. Altona Police Chief Perry Batchelor says two snowmobiles were stolen in the town the same day. One of them was found a few miles away but the other one ended up near Steinbach.

"The one sled was recovered just outside of Steinbach in what appears to be a stolen trailer, also stolen out of Altona. It would have been on the same night. We'll work together now with Steinbach RCMP . They have had some activity out that way as well so we'll see if we can connect the dots."

The investigation into both thefts continues, and anyone with information on the incidents is asked to contact Altona Police Service at 204-324-5353.
