73 students at Ste. Anne Collegiate are taking their first steps into their future as they say goodbye to high school and their long-time classmates.

Taylor Jaman, who will be attending the University of Winnipeg in the fall, says it was an honour to be chosen to represent her graduating class. She says her supportive teachers made going to school every day feel like she was at home.

Jaman says her classmates are unique and special because they are all very hard working. She shares these words of encouragement. “Never give up, always try your hardest. Anything you put your mind to is possible and always go for your dreams. Good luck to everyone, I hope everything works out well for you.”

Principal Yvan St. Vincent says, “It's about taking your time, make some choices you're comfortable and happy with. Life goes by so quickly and I think if you get into things you don't want to be doing or aren't interested in, it makes for a long life. Make choices based on your interests and what you enjoy doing.”

The graduation ceremony will take place in Ile Des Chenes at 11 am on Wednesday, June 28.
