Steinbach Christian School congratulated 35 Grade 12 students on Sunday during their graduation ceremony.

Principal Emery Plett says he encourages each student to live their life with passion, to pursue God, and with those two things, the rest will take care of itself.

Valedictorian Max Neustaedter (Photo credit: SCS)"They're a fun-loving group, and so that is one of the things we've noticed about them," notes Plett. "They enjoy being with each other and they enjoy having a good time. There has also been a number of good athletes come out of this class and we've seen them participate in our sports teams."

Valedictorian Max Neustaedter says it's special to see how his class has come together and started interacting in a really positive way.

"[I'd like to leave my class with] a word that's really been sticking with me lately. The word is 'commit'," notes Neustaedter. "Right now we're committing in sports or we're committing in school, but when we go out from school we have to learn how to commit to work or to family. If we were to commit just like how we've learned how to commit in school, that's something I feel is really important for everyone to know."

Neustaedter says he wants to attend School of Ministers at Southland Church next year and then either attend Youth on a Mission or university.
