RCMP arrested a couple of impaired drivers in Steinbach over the weekend, attended to a noisy party in the city and caught a vehicle thief.

The first incident occurred Friday afternoon at 4:30. A vehicle was involved in an accident in a parking lot. Police attended and arrested a 20-year-old male from Steinbach for impaired driving and other offences.

Then on Saturday, just before 3:00 a.m., police came across a male in his car that was parked in a service station parking lot. As a result, a 26-year-old male from Steinbach was charged with being in the care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired.

Also on Saturday, at 2:08 a.m., police were called to a noisy party on Cloverdale Street. RCMP say partygoers were starting to leave.Officers stayed until they were gone and to make sure none were driving. However, shortly before 3:00 a.m., one person, a 21-year-old male from Steinbach, was issued a 72-hour suspension for driving with a blood-alcohol level above .05.

A man was arrested over the weekend in Steinbach for stealing a vehicle. RCMP say the 28-year-old male was taken into custody on Saturday just before 4:00 a.m. He is from the St. Malo area. No other details have been released.
