Tom Cochrane and Red Rider will be coming to Steinbach this summer as the main stage headliner for Summer In The City on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

Festival Chair Graham Pollock says as part the Canada 150 birthday celebration, they wanted to showcase a Canadian artist. "We wanted our headliners to be from our country, and Tom Cochrane was the first headliner the festival put on in 2009, so we thought it would be fitting to bring him back to our main stage, and he likes Steinbach, so we are thrilled we were able to secure him."

Cindi Rempel-Patrick from the Steinbach Arts Council, says Tom Cochrane thrilled the audience in 2009. "Many people say it was one of the best concerts ever, so we felt this year it was more than fitting to bring him back to our main stage."

Pollock says the country headliner will be announced within the next two weeks.

Tickets go on sale for the Saturday night concert on Thursday, April 20th online at summerinthecity.ca and will also be available for purchase April 26th at Earls Meat Market, Steinbach Arts Council, and all three Ste. Anne Co-op locations in Steinbach.
