Two people have been arrested following an incident Wednesday afternoon in Vita.

RCMP say they were called for assistance at a residence on Birch Street just after 2:30pm. After further investigation, officers remained at the scene for a better part of the day and into the evening.

Police say a 45-year-old male was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property obtained by crime. A 32-year-old female was also arrested and RCMP say charges are pending.

Officers are still actively investigating and Police say more details will be released in the coming days.
