RCMP have released more information about a two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening near St. Pierre.

Red dot shows location of collision.It happened at 5:40 p.m. on Provincial Road 205, eight kilometres west of the community. Investigators say a brown Honda Civic was heading west and collided with an eastbound grey Toyota Corolla. Police say it was not a direct head-on collision but the vehicles somewhat sideswiped each other. They note a farmer was blowing snow in a nearby field and the wind was blowing it onto the road, obscuring visibility.

The 19-year-old male driver of the Honda was not hurt but a 48-year-old female passenger was transported to hospital by STARS air ambulance in serious condition.

The 41-year-old male driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital in St. Pierre with minor injuries.

All three are from St. Pierre.
