A 25 year-old man from Lorette has been charged with multiple offences after an alleged incident of road rage. RCMP say Tuesday evening, around 7:30, two vehicles were reported travelling at excessive speeds on the east Perimeter Highway around Winnipeg. Witnesses say the two were trying to pass each other and one cut the other off. As the drivers stopped at Highway #15, two male occupants exited one vehicle and approached the driver of the other. The second driver than appeared to brandish a semi-automatic pistol and allegedly uttered threats. Police say the other two males then fled. Officers later arrested a male and seized a Colt Defender .177 calibre air pistol. Ryan James Groening of Lorette is charged with Pointing a Firearm, Uttering Threats and Using a Firearm While Committing an Indictable Offence. He will appear in court in Beausejour November 17th.
