Last night Morning Show Co-Host Chris Sumner was invited to participate in a Young Author's Night at Minnewasta school in Morden. The goal of the of the evening was to promote the importance of writing and literacy in general.

It was a really enjoyable event, and super cute, because all he had to do was have a seat on some comfortable crash mats in the gym, and listen to the students read him stories they had written.

There were all kinds from fiction to non-fiction, about animals and sports, neat things about their families. Not only did the students write the stories, they also drew and coloured the pictures in the books they created.

Chris brought back some of the stories he heard, and shared them on the Morning Show, including The Tinkerbell Story written and illustrated by Grade 1 student Olivia.

Chris also heard Grade 3 student Evie's story.

Maple School in Morden also hosted a Young Author's Night April 28th.
