A volunteer at the Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games in Steinbach decided to go above and beyond the call of duty this week.

Evelyn Paton says while volunteering, she learned of a predicament involving the Westman girls softball team. The Westman Coach was looking for a laundromat and after informing him that there was none in Steinbach, Paton offered to take the team laundry home and do the wash herself.

The surprised Coach agreed and Paton took home the dirty laundry and later that day called him to come pick it up.

Then, Friday morning, the softball team, dressed in uniform found Paton and brought her flowers for her efforts.

"That was wonderful," Paton says. "Loved it."
