Local courses are reporting business is up 20 to 30 per cent because of the hot, dry weather. The weather this spring and summer has been ideal for local golf courses. Quarry Oaks general manager Robin Henderson says business is up about 20 per cent this year, largely due to the great weather. Over at the Steinbach Fly-In, head professional Brian Guenther says their numbers are up about 30 per cent. In addition to great weather, he notes a change in membership structure to open up the weekends for more non-members has brought in a lot of new revenue. Both Guenther and Henderson welcome the good year after 2 soggy seasons.
