A 40-year-old Steinbach man is dead following a single-vehicle collision near Pansy Saturday night.

Steinbach RCMP and Hanover Fire Department responded to the collision on Road 21 N near Pansy on September 12 at approximately 11:39 p.m.

STARS Air Ambulance was also called to the scene, but was stood down prior to arrival after it was determined the crew was not medically required for transport.

RCMP report that officers located a male lying on the road behind the vehicle. The vehicle was severely damaged, consistent with being involved in a rollover.

The man, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Steinbach RCMP continue to investigate the collision.
