Southwood's Adrian Kibsey won Monday's Canadian Amateur Golf Championship qualifier with a three-under par 68 to lead the field of 60 players trying to earn the right to play in this weeks championship in Winnipeg. Monday's qualifier was used to determine the final seven spots in the field for the 107th playing of the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship which begins today at both the Niakwa Country Club and Elmhurst Golf and Country Club.

Tyler Friesen of Winkler, Torrie Coghlin of Saskatoon, Willy Mac of Flint, Mich, Burke Wiebe of Headingley and Bret Thompson of Winnipeg also qualified.
