The Gabrielle Roy Les Roy junior varsity boys basketball team are Provincial A/AA champions.

The Zone 13 champions defeated the Virden Golden Bears 92-73 in the final Saturday afternoon in Birtle.

Gabrielle Roy beat Carberry 77-36 in the semifinals and the Frontier Raiders of Cranberry Portage 81-63 in the quarterfinals.

Stellan Chammartin was named the tournament MVP and Josh Bartlett was selected a tournament All-Star.

Les Roys are the third Zone 13 team to win the Provincial A/AA boys championship.

The Steinbach Christian Flames won the Provincial final in 2012 and the Ross L. Gray Raiders of Sprague captured the championship banner in 2014 & 2015.
