A grand opening was held Monday morning for a $14-million peat moss packaging plant in Richer. The new Premier Horticulture Facility replaces the one destroyed by fire in September 2005. Chief Executive Officer Bernard Belanger says it's a special day for the 50 workers employed at the plant. He's very proud of the team they assembled that it has achieved so much in a short time, allowing the company to now say it's back in business. Ste. Anne Reeve Art Bergmann says it's quite an honour to have the facility located in his municipality as it's going to have an impact on businesses, property and workforce in the area. Production at the facility will start this week.
