Here in Steinbach, Miracle Treat Day raised $5,200. The kids were the winners yesterday.  Dairy Queen held its annual Miracle Treat Day yesterday where all procceds from the sale of a blizzard go to the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg.  Owner Jo Unger tells us they raised $5,200.  Over 300 children from the southeast use the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg each year.  Unger feels it's important to support it because if it wasn't there these kids would have to be sent to toronto for treatment.  This is the first year that the Dairy Queen's in the United States have come on board.  Last year, Miracle Treat Day raised $1.5 million in Canada and the goal is to raise around 10 million this year.
