A Colorado Low is bringing mixed precipitation to southern Manitoba. 

In Steinbach, it has been a constant shift from rain to snow as the temperature hovers around zero. Environment Canada continues to call for flurries the rest of Thursday. Friday should see periods of snow before the system leaves the region on Saturday. 

According to Manitoba Agriculture, rainfall amounts in the southeast since Wednesday morning have ranged from about three to 10 millimetres. The complete list as of Thursday at 3pm is:

  • Zhoda - 9.7 mm
  • Lac du Bonnet - 9.4 mm
  • Marchand - 9.3 mm
  • St. Labre - 9.0 mm
  • Gardenton - 8.6 mm
  • Rosa - 8.0 mm
  • Steinbach - 7.9 mm
  • Menisino - 7.9 mm
  • Richer - 7.7 mm
  • Vivian - 7.7 mm
  • St. Pierre - 7.5 mm
  • Prawda - 7.3 mm
  • Beausejour - 7.0 mm
  • St. Adolphe - 6.4 mm
  • Dugald - 5.5 mm
  • Dominion City - 3.5 mm

The normal high for this time of year is 13 degrees. Environment Canada says we should be experiencing those temperatures again by Sunday.
