Border Land School Division is on track to have a balanced budget next school year.  The board unveiled it's initial budget this week, and Secretary Treasurer Anne Malyon says it came in around $28 Million.  Malyon adds Border Land is eligible for a $1.9 Million Tax Incentive Grant, up from $1.1 Million last year.  This will hold the line on property taxes, but she notes recent assessments will push tax bills up 1.6 %.  She adds this has been a difficult budget to plan, noting the growing instructional base in the division as one factor.  Malyon says at this time the board isn't considering any programming cuts to achieve a balanced budget.
