A Dodge Ram went up in flames Thursday night on the Trans Canada Highway near Ste.Anne.

Ste.Anne Fire Chief John Desrochers says they were called out around 10:45 to a truck fire approximately three-quarters of a mile west of the Highway 12 turnoff. When they arrived, the truck was engulfed in flames.

Desrochers says nobody was hurt. The truck is a total loss. RCMP report the cause of the fire was mechanical.

Emergency personnel had the westbound lanes closed for about twenty minutes while the scene was cleared.
