New Bothwell Fire was called to a vehicle fire this afternoon shortly before four o'clock.

The call came from a residence along Provincial Road 311 and Autumnwood road. Fire Captian Stuart Penner says when they arrived the fire was under the hood of the car and they were able to put it out quickly before spreading to the nearby house. 

Penner adds the cause of the fire was probably electrical and there were no injuries.
