His crops are good, although he thought they'd be great.  Mark Reimer owns a grain and hog farm just north of Steinbach.  He had high hopes in spring about his crops, however he tells us things have changed.  The crops had excellent germination and the low amounts of rain prompted good root growth.  However he says such little moisture ended up hurting the crops.  Meantime, he admits he hasn't had any problems with the hogs because of the heat.  Reimer explains it has helped that the humidity has generally been low.
