We have a chance on Wednesday to let our generous spirit show through.
Southeast Helping Hands is holding its annual fall food drive Wednesday night.  Steinbach and area youth groups will be heading door to door to collect non-perishable items for the food bank.  Spokesperson Shannon Dyck says a few things they could really use right now are stuff for kids' lunches, rice, vegetable soups, baking ingredients and cereal.  If you won't be home but would still like to donate you can leave a bag of groceries on your front step or drop it off at any of Steinbach's grocery stores. The community of Blumenort will be canvassed while Mitchell homes will be knocked on at a later date.
