RCMP say an intoxicated motorist slammed into an apartment building in Steinbach over the weekend.

It happened on Friday at 8:23 pm. The vehicle crashed into a building along Parkview Crescent. 

According to RCMP, a 21-year-old male from Steinbach was the driver and lone occupant in the vehicle. 

There is no word on injuries.

The driver now faces charges of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. 

Meanwhile, Steinbach RCMP had 55 calls for service over the weekend.
