Over 300 customers in the Southeast were affected by power outages Tuesday as the Alberta Clipper moved through the region.

Riley McDonald with Manitoba Hydro says there were outages in Steinbach, Grunthal, St. Pierre, and St. Adolphe.

"In Steinbach, there was one small outage that we're aware of which was one customer. Grunthal was part of a planned outage which was very small also. That one, under ten people from 2 to 3 p.m. St. Pierre had about five people affected. We were working on that due to winds, a tree took down two lines in the area which caused a small outage. As for St. Adolphe, that was the larger of the three. There were about 315 customers affected altogether. It was wind again."

He adds crews had issues responding to the power outage in St. Adolphe due to a highway closure. McDonald says power is reported to be restored to everyone in the area.

McDonald notes they have been responding to several problems due to wind and ice on lines throughout the day.
