While the mild temperatures are welcome this time of year, drivers are still testing their winter driving skills.

Winds picked up Monday afternoon which turned east/west roads and highways across the southeast into ice rinks. Road conditions remained the same this morning, as vehicles needed to drive slower than the recommended speed limit.

As of 10am Tuesday, Highway 52 west of Mitchell until Hwy 59 was reporting icy sections, as well as Hwy 311 west of Blumenort past Niverville also had icy sections.

Drivers are asked to drive to the conditions. Check the Road Reports page on Steinbachonline.
