According to motorists on the Trans-Canada Highway, morning traffic was slowed by a collision involving multiple vehicles.

Around a 8 AM, a number of reports rolled in that there had been a collision on westbound Highway 1 just east of Deacon's corner.

Emergency services including fire, EMS, and RCMP were on scene tending to the collision and westbound traffic was backed up as a result. The cause of the collision and the severity of injuries are still unknown.

According to the Space Age Kal Tire Road Report, as of 10 AM, Highway 1, Highway 52, and Highway 59 are all partly snow-covered with blowing and drifting snow, and Highway 12 south of Steinbach is fully snow-covered.

With a forecasted high of plus 5 degrees, road conditions are expected to improved before we see more snow Monday evening.
