Near zero visibility fog advisory Wednesday morning

Environment Canada has issued a Fog Advisory for residents of southeastern Manitoba on Wednesday morning.  The advisory was issued at 1:20 am.

Motorists are to expect near-zero visibility this morning and to ensure their driving lights are on.  

Visibility may improve periodically throughout the morning.

Overnight fog forms when the ground cools significantly after sunset, cooling the air directly above it, creating fog. 

The sun will rise this morning at 7:16 am. 

Near zero visibility at 5am Wednesday morning along Brandt Street South in Steinbach.

At 5am Wednesday morning, thick fog covered much of southern Manitoba. (Clock tower at the corner of Main and Reimer in downtown Steinbach.)
