The Steinbach Pistons had a strong bounce back game following Thursday's loss to Winnipeg, defeating the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 3-1.

Jordan Bochinski and Jonah Wasylak each had a goal and an assist in the win, while Thomas Lenchychyn provided two helpers and Tyler Garrioch had the other goal.  Garrioch's goal was his first as a Piston since being acquired from the Dauphin Kings earlier in the week.

"He's looked good, we're happy with the way he's played," says Assistant Coach Rob Smith.  "I think anytime you come to a new team there's always an adjustment period, so I believe that he'll continue to get better."

Mario Petit stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced, helping to improve the Pistons' record to 18-8-3 which puts them four points behind Winkler for third in the MJHL, although they also have three games in hand.  The Pistons have a quick turnaround, travelling to Virden to play the Oil Capitals at 2:30pm Sunday afternoon.

"It'll be our first afternoon game, so we'll see how the team reacts," notes Smith.  "We kind of owe Virden, they've come to our rink and they've beaten us a couple times this year, which isn't easy to do.  So I know the boys will be looking forward to the game."
