The election results in the town of Ste. Anne were really close. So close, a re-count was requested by incumbent Bert Chaput who had 3 votes less than fellow incumbent Don Simard.
That meant Simard took the fourth and final seat on council.  The re-count didn't change the results and Chaput says he accepts that.  However, Chaput says he won't run again for civic politics.  Meantime, he encourages the new council to keep working at residential growth for the town.
